01Who runs this site
This is the personal amateur radio website of Iurii Potekhin (UN7GUN), based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. For privacy questions, contact un7gun@gmail.com.
The website has no registration, contact form, shop or newsletter. It displays station information, photographs, a QSL card and links to other amateur radio services.
02Website hosting and technical logs
The website uses an external hosting provider. To deliver a page, its infrastructure receives the visitor’s IP address and technical request details, such as the requested URL, time, browser information and referrer where provided.
The hosting infrastructure may keep access, error or security logs for operation, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. This HTML website does not control the host’s logging configuration. The provider’s identity, infrastructure location and exact log-retention period have not yet been confirmed for this notice; please contact the owner for those details.
03Optional Google Analytics
Statistics stay off until you allow them. Settings are available when JavaScript is enabled.
This website uses optional Google Analytics 4 with advanced consent mode. The Google tag loads when the page opens with analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied. Before permission, Google Analytics cookies are not created, but the tag may send technical cookieless signals to Google, including the consent state and page, device and request information; Google also receives the connection IP address.
After permission, Google may receive page-view and interaction data, browser and device information, timestamps, referral information and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. Google also receives technical connection data, including an IP address. The integration does not set a user ID and is configured to disable Google signals and advertising personalization.
The initial page-view URL is sent without query parameters or a fragment. This does not make analytics anonymous. Processing and server-side retention also depend on the Google Analytics property settings; they are not controlled by the cookie lifetime shown below.
See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data from partner websites.
04Cookies and browser storage
No advertising tools are included in this website’s code. The EN / RU language links do not save a language preference. These are the local storage items used by this version:
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
un7gun.analytics-choice.v1localStorage | Records your analytics choice, its expiry, policy version and the public measurement ID. No visitor ID. Created only after a choice. | Honoured for up to 180 days; an expired record is removed on the next visit or when you clear site storage. |
_ga, _ga_…cookies | Google Analytics visitor/session recognition, only after permission and when configured. | Configured for up to 180 days, without renewal on each page load. The browser may shorten this. |
Storage from external providers is controlled by them and by your browser. This notice does not claim an exhaustive cookie inventory for QRZ or HAMQSL.
05QRZ and HAMQSL
QRZ: The logbook iframe loads only when you press “Allow and load QRZ”. This connects your browser directly to QRZ, which receives request details and may read or set cookies. See QRZ’s privacy notice. QRZ describes its servers as being in the United States.
HAMQSL: The solar panel is a linked image, not an external JavaScript library. It loads only when you press “Allow and load HAMQSL”. HAMQSL receives your IP address and browser request details and controls its own logs and any cookies. See the HAMQSL source page.
Neither widget is loaded merely because you allow analytics. Widget permissions are not saved for future page loads. Disabling a widget removes it from the page; it cannot undo an earlier request or delete cookies held on another provider’s domain.
External providers may process data in different countries. The location of this website’s hosting does not determine where those providers process or store data.
06Email and external links
YouTube, eQSL and the other profile links are ordinary links, not automatically loaded embeds. Following a link takes you to a service with its own data practices.
Email links open your email application. Sending a message to un7gun@gmail.com shares your email address, message and any attachments. The mailbox uses Gmail, a Google service. Messages are used to answer the request and kept as needed to deal with the correspondence and any applicable obligations. Do not send unnecessary sensitive information. No fixed mailbox-retention schedule is asserted by this notice.
07Your choices and requests
You can decline analytics and still use the site. Use Privacy settings to change your choice. Withdrawing permission switches analytics storage to denied and attempts to remove accessible Google Analytics cookies on this website. The Google tag remains loaded and may continue sending technical cookieless signals. It does not remove data already sent to Google.
QRZ and HAMQSL can be disabled using their own buttons or the settings control. Your browser can block or clear cookies and local storage, including storage belonging to external providers. If local storage is unavailable, an analytics choice applies only to the current page.
For a request about your data, including access, correction or deletion where applicable, write to un7gun@gmail.com. Describe the request without sending an identity document unless specifically needed. The owner may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns you.
08Changes and scope
This notice describes this website version and its optional integrations. It will need updating if the site’s services or processing change. It is not a statement that external providers process no personal data or that a consent button alone satisfies every legal obligation.
